Temp mail vs 10 minute mail

“10 minute mail” is the old name for a short inbox. The timer is the problem: a lot of verification mail shows up after those 10 minutes are gone.

Same job, different clock

Both tools give you an address that is not your personal Gmail or Outlook, receive a confirmation or OTP, and then delete the mailbox. You use them when you do not want that site on your real mailing list.

Classic 10 minute mail starts a short countdown as soon as the address exists. If the other site queues mail, asks you to solve a captcha, or sends the code only after you submit a second step, the inbox can already be gone.

How long WispInbox keeps the inbox

A free WispInbox address is removed about 60 minutes after you leave, not 10 minutes after it was created. Keep the tab open until the message arrives. Closing the tab starts that clock.

Messages show up live in the browser. You usually do not need to refresh. Refresh is there for a slow sender or a dropped connection.

When the shorter timer is enough

A 10 minute inbox is enough when you already know the site sends a code in a few seconds and you will finish in one sitting. It is a bad fit when you might switch apps, wait for a human, or retry the form.

What neither timer is for

Neither service is a replacement for an address you must still have next month. Password resets, receipts, and account recovery need a permanent inbox. Temp mail, including a longer 60 minute window, is for the signup you are doing right now.

Questions

Is 10 minute mail the same as temp mail?

People use the names for the same idea: a disposable inbox. The practical difference is how long the inbox stays open.

Do I have to stay on the page?

Yes. Leave only after the code arrives. A free WispInbox inbox is deleted about 60 minutes after you leave.

Can I send mail from a 10 minute or temp address?

No. WispInbox is receive-only. It does not send or relay mail.
